Herbert O'Neil Taylor, age 82, of Lake Placid, passed away November 14, 2015 in Lake Placid. He was born Aug. 21, 1933 in Bartow, FL, to the late Herbert Cleo and Patricia Ruth (Barfield) Taylor. Mr. Taylor married Grace Ball. He worked as a farm manager for many years. He was a member of Moore Haven United Methodist Church. Herbert was a loving and loyal husband to Grace, a loving father to his three daughters, and a loving grandfather to his precious grandchildren and great grandchild. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years: Grace Taylor, three daughters: Sheree Humphries, April (Malcolm) Etherton, Alison (Kenny) Bowers, one brother; Glenn Taylor and one sister; Audrey Whidden, granddaughters, Shelley Humphries-Jones (Jordan), Jodi (Patric) Etherton, Savannah Bowers, grandsons; Kenny Bowers, Waylon Bowers, Great granddaughters, Kaelyn, Leighla, and Tylee Jones and great grandson Xavier. A celebration of Neill's Life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 20, 2015 at the Pavilion in Ortona Cemetery with Pastor Charley Watts officiating. Burial will follow immediately in Ortona Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to any local FFA Chapter or 4-H Club.
