Clifford Paul Thorne
April 12th, 1926 - April 13th, 2009
Clifford P. Thorne of Lake Forest Park, Washington also known to many as Paul, born and raised in Seattle, Washington to Carl & Jenny Thorne passed away in his sleep Monday April 13th, 2009 the day after his 83rd birthday after a long illness. Cliff is a loving father to Terri Thierry and son-in-law Paul Thierry. Brother of Shirley Thorne and Stanley Thorne. Stepfather of Bill McKnight and Margie Church. He was a great uncle to Christy Schlaberg and helped her a lot and many others. He has many nieces, nephews, and cousins that all meant a lot to him. Cliff served in the Army in World War II. After the war he worked for Boeing and then moved on to carpentry. He worked for Thornberg construction for many years and on his own. He was a top notch capenter and he tought many others the trade. Cliff loved animals he was always rescuing people and animals. Even animals that didn’t need to be rescued. He loved the racoons and made sure they were never hungry, he would even feed the nieghbor’s cats when they would come and visit. No person or animal ever went hungry. He loved shooting pool, fishing and bowling. He was happy working on cars and houses. Dad I love you and miss you very much, we all love you and miss you. We will always make sure the animals never go hungry and we will take very good care of your cats that you loved so much. And a very special Thank You to all of the loving, caring and amazing people who took care of my dad these last few months. I will never forget the love and support you gave dad and our family. Service will be held Friday April 24th, 2009 at 2:45 pm at Tahoma National Cemetery. A gathering will follow at Paul and Terri’s home in Lake Forest Park.
