Girva Jean McDaniel

Girva Jean McDaniel (Patrick) aka "Jean" was born on September 20th, 1946 in Anniston Alabama to Willie and Mable (Woody) Patrick. Girva Jean departed this earth February 3rd, 2016. At an early age Girva Jean and her parents moved from Alabama to Tacoma Washington Jean's father Willie was in the United States Army he was stationed at Fort Lewis military base. Girva Jean attended McCarver Junior High School and graduated from Stadium High School in 1965 Jean also attended Central Washington University located the east of the mountains in Ellensburg Washington. Jean married her long time boy friend Michael J. McDaniel in May 1965, Michael was in the Air Force that meant Jean was able to travel the world she resided in Germany. Alaska, North Dakota just to name a few. Jean was a " self proclaimed" Interior decorator' she always kept a beautiful home Jean kept a 'Show Case' residence her place looked like something out of a magazine, nothing was ever out of place, and Jean was always in the mood to spruce up someone's house, that was her thing and she loved it. Jean also loved people and she loved taking care of others, that is why she choose to work in the Healthcare industry . Jean was proceeded in death by her younger brother Michael Patrick, father Willie Patrick and her son-in law Jerry L Jackson. Jean was truly blessed she is survived by her four wonderful children, Katrina McDaniel-Jackson ( Jerry), Sean McDaniel ( Jody), Jolanda McDaniel-Hill (Chris) and Nikkeya Hicks 16 grandchildren Chyna, N"Dia, Perris, Javon, Jamel, It'Tayah, Dasia, Cameron, Coree, Cartier, NaKhari, Cayden, Jayden Chai, Nyhri, Nydrice,4 great grandchildren Iicylinn, Rhome, Hollynd and Prince, her Mother Mable Patrick, Siblings Dorothy Blue ( William), William Patrick ( Butch) and Yvonne Maldonado. Jean also leaves behind a host of loving Nieces, Nephews and friends. Services will be held February 17th 2016 at Shiloh Baptist Church 1211 South I street, Tacoma Wa 98405.
