Nathan served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was a logger and barber by profession. He enjoyed hunting. He is survived by his wife, Emily Miller; sons, Steve Miller and Tom Miller; daughter, Jeri Lee; five grandchildren; 12 grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and brother, Monty Miller.
