Funeral Alternatives of Washington - Tumwater
Andrew "Andy" G. Wattenberg
January 11th, 1988 - May 27th, 2012
Andrew G. "Andy" Wattenberg Andrew “Andy” Wattenberg, 24, passed away May 27, 2012 in Tumwater, Washington. He was born January 11, 1988 to Michael and Vicki Wattenberg in Olympia, Washington. He was a 2006 graduate of Olympia High School and, in 2007, received Street Rod and Custom Fabrication with Collision/Refinishing Technology Certification from WyoTech in Laramie, Wyoming. He was employed by Olympia Autobody as a prep and paint technician. Andy was all heart. He was kind, thoughtful and generous. He was loyal to his friends and family and was always willing to help people out. He had a presence that could light up a room and a smile that was contagious. His mischievous nature and wonderful sense of humor could always make people laugh, even in their darkest moments. Andy was an artist at heart and planned on using his immense talent and creative mind in a career as a custom painter. Family was number one to Andy and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for those he loved. Andy would paint just about anything that could be painted, but especially loved painting, pin-striping and adding custom details to cars. Classic cars and low riders were his special passion. He enjoyed riding his bike around town and hanging out with his friends, watching documentaries about history and Planet Earth, drawing, and had a knack for artistic photography. The true love of his life, Zoey, his 2-year-old black lab, was by his side whenever possible. Andy is survived by his parents; sister, Sara Wattenberg; brother, Nikolaus Wattenberg; and grandparents, Gunther and Lore Wattenberg and Elsie Bailey. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Mary Bucher and Garland Johnson. Memorial donations in Andy’s name may be made to Violent Crime Victim Services, http://vcvs.org.
