Jack went to be with his savior on October 4, 2016. He passed at home surrounded by his family. He was born to Gerhard Kruse and Ilda Schmidt Kruse in Columbus Nebraska on March 28, 1930 He was the eldest of 6 children and the only son. He joined the Army in 1951 and served his country honorably until his discharge in 1959. While in the army he earned and was awarded a good conduct medal, United nations service metal for his service during the Korean conflict, and two bronze stars. Me married Violet L. Muth on May 14th 1955 They had one son, Craig L. Kruse in 1956. In 1971 the family moved to Puyallup Washington. A year later they settled in Spanaway, Washington where he lived for the remainder of his life. His wife, Violet passed away in 1979. On August 29th 1981 Jack married Frances Paulson and became a loving step father to her three children Ron, Robin and Robert. Jack worked in the automotive industry as a Large Truck Tire Serviceman. He retired from Les Schwab in 1995 after many years of dedicated service. He had many hobbies during the course of his life that included building and flying model airplanes, riding his Honda Motor Cycle andLapidary work. He also enjoyed Square dancing, fishing and woodworking in his later years. He never knew a stranger. He could carry on a meaningful conversation with anyone from the very young to the very elderly. With this ability he acquired many friends over the years. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Gerhard and Ilda Kruse, His first wife Violet, His sisters Lila Uzendowski and Kathryn Henry all of Nebraska and his Step Son Ron Paulson of Washington, and his loyal and faithful dog Sandy. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Frances Kruse, His son Craig Kruse (Franita) of Roy Washington, His sisters Wilma Knapp (frank) of Madison Nebraska, Joan Graham and Anita Raumaker both of Omaha Nebraska. His Step-daughter Robin Green of Spanaway Washington and Step-son Robert Hicks of Plains Montana. Eight grandchildren, Nine great grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, including his good cat Oscar. His final resting place will be at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent Washington.
