Rance Williamson

Rance Williamson Rance Williamson, 70, passed away on February 17, 2010 at Capital Medical Center from natural causes. He was born September 23, 1939 to Ira Dee and Hazel (Kellerman) Williamson in Tacoma, WA. Rance lived in Olympia all his life. He attended McLane elementary school from 1945-1953 and graduated from Olympia High school in 1957. He married Beverly Varns in 1960 in Long Beach, CA. They later divorced. Rance served in the U.S. Navy stationed on the USS Pritchett from Sept. 1958 until Sept. 1960 and was in the reserves until June 1963. He worked at the Olympia Brewery in the shipping and receiving department from 1961 until 1964 when he moved to the traffic department and worked there until retiring in 1984. Rance enjoyed watching old western movies, visiting with family and friends, golfing, fishing, coin collecting, and puttering around the house. He was a member of the Elks club and was on the O Bee Credit Union board. Surviving Rance are his sons Kurt Williamson and Tyler (Tina) Williamson; daughter Ellen (Rich) Williamson-Jones; brother Gary D. (Rosalie) Williamson and four grandchildren Kassy, Sammy, Joshua and Joseph. His parents and a twin brother Lannie Williamson, preceded him in death.
