Mike was born to Charles and Myrtle (Quigg) Shaughnessy on Dec 30, 1945 in Chehalis, WA. Where he grew up and attended school. He passed away after a long illness on July 5, 2011. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson, Michael. He is survived by his wife Judy Shaughnessy, daughters, Margaret Kewit of Wisconsin, Erin Shaughnessy, of Washington, Deborah Shaughnessy, of Washington, and Michelle. Step children Lindsay Kelley, Auzie Kelley, Joyce Kelley, and L J Causey Jr. . Brother, Si Shaughnessy, of California, and sister, Sharon Natcher of Kentucy, Four Grandchildren, two step grandchildren and two great-grandchildren along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Michael served in the US Navy, and then was a truck driver till his retirement. He was a member of NA for 16 years which he cherished along with his many friends and family. Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing and his rose garden. His dog Jack was his constant companion. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to joke and kid around. He will be loved and missed by many. A celebration of life and barbecue potluck will be held on July 23 at 1pm at 14440 Union Ave. SW, Lakewood, WA Arrangements by Edwards Memorial Center 253-566-1008
