Gene H. Parsons

Gene H. Parsons, 77, of Lacey, Washington, was taken home to spend eternity with His Lord and Savior on February 27, 2017. He passed in his home surrounded by his family. Gene was born on February 24, 1940 to Claude and Harriett Parsons in Bellingham, Washington. He was the third of six boys. Gene graduated from Bellingham High School and joined the United States Marine Corps in the mid-1950s. In the 1960s, Gene became interested in Tae Kwon Do Karate and became a 6th Degree Karate Master. He taught others from his passion at Olympic Tae Kwon Do Karate Studio, of which he was the owner. He also, was the owner of Anderson Transfer, Trucking Company in Olympia. On May 17, 1991, Gene joined in marriage with Joctenne Jagdon in a ceremonial celebration in Cebu, Philippines. Gene had a love and faith in Jesus Christ. This was his only passion above his family. Gene’s family was the most important thing in his life. He enjoyed spending time with them and letting them know how much he loved them. World travel was also a joy for Gene, and he had the opportunity to visit several places. Gene is survived by his loving wife, Joctenne Parsons of Lacey; children, Candi Pryor (Mark) of El Paso, Texas, Tonni Dial (Joseph) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Troy Parsons of Tacoma, Washington, Jeremiah Parsons (Diana) of Lacey, and Anastasia Parsons of Lacey; 20 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and brothers, Dell Parsons of Puyallup, Washington, and Vince Parsons of Bellingham, Washington.
