Mike Perkins
February 19th, 1948 - January 27th, 2017
Mike Perkins passed away of lung cancer on January 27, 2017 in Centralia, Washington. He was born February 19, 1948 to Glen and Marion Perkins in Chehalis, Washington. He lived in Onalaska, Washington for 66 years, before moving to Rochester, Washington two years ago. He graduated with the Class of 1966 from Onalaska High School, and married Bobble Etta Steele on August 12, 1967 at the Presbyterian Church in Onalaska. After Bobbie’s death, he married Linda Birdwell. Professionally, Mike worked in a lumber mill and then drove a log truck for 45 years. He was a hard worker who simply loved to work, whether it was working at his job, on his Jeep, or in his yard. He also loved spending time with his grand kids, fishing, camping, going to the beach, attending swap meets, and listening to oldies music. Mike was an old fashioned kind of guy. He was funny but very quiet. He especially valued his time with family. He was a great dad and grandpa (papa), and was loved by many friends and acquaintances. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Linda Perkins; sons, Rob Perkins and KC Perkins; daughter, Dawn Parmintier; daughter-in-law, Kara Perkins; grandsons, Kyle Perkins, Jon Sharkey, Josh Parmintier, Kaiden Perkins, Kohl Perkins, Kason Perkins, Kavin Perkins; granddaughter, Stacee Parminteir; and great grandchildren, Ivan Parmintier, Riffe Parmeitier and Sage Helland. He was predeceased by his wife, Bobble Perkins; his parents; and his brothers, Tommy Perkins, Roger Perkins, Rodney Perkins, and Doug Perkins. Please leave memories of Mike or condolences for her family in the Guestbook below.
