Born January 15, 1947 to Cecilia Sadie Haggetter and Raymond Elias Wickham in Newark, New Jersey and passed away October 30, 2010 in Tacoma, Washington. He leaves behind his daughters, Annie Wickham, Katie Wickham, and Erin Peterson of Tacoma Washington, sisters Eileen Sivartsen and Kathleen Dechert of New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Raymond, and nephew Michael Dechert. Also grieving is Raymond's widow Claire Wickham, his nephew Edward Dechert of Toms River, NJ and his niece Shannon Sivartsen Zakrzewski of Clark, NJ. Ken graduated Harding Grammar School, Kenilworth, NJ in 1962 and Linden High School, Linden NJ in 1966. Ken enlisted and served in the US Air Force1966 - 1975. He was stationed at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines during the Vietnam War with temporary assignments in Thailand, also. He was a Jet Engine Mechanic and rose to the rank of Sergeant during his service and had been stationed at Fairchild Air Base in Spokane where he settled after he left the service. Ken went to Spokane Community College, worked at Modern Office Equipment Repair, and then Ft. Lewis Military Base in the Department of Defense for 30 years. He enjoyed attending Seattle Mariners games and UW football games, bicycling, walking, fishing, duck hunting, and was an avid reader and movie goer. He was an all around good guy and the best friend, brother, and father anyone could ask for, who loved his family and was grateful for his many friends. Irish Funeral Verse: May the road rise up to meet you, May the wind be always at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, And the rains fall soft upon your fields, And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand, May your soul rest in Peace. Services will be held 2PM on November 19, 2010 at Tahoma Vista Village 1512 South Mildred Street Tacoma, Washington 98465.
