Santiago Reyes Vasquez

Santiago Reyes Vasquez, age 84 of LaBelle, passed away while on vacation in Mexico on July 5, 2021. Santiago was born in Mexico on May 1, 1937 to the late Enrique and the late Maria Vasquez Reyes. He married Sanjuana Gomez. He was a farmer for most of his life, both in Mexico and in the United States. He was of the Catholic faith. He was loved by his entire family will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. Sanitago leaves behind his loving wife; Sanjuana Reyes Gomez of LaBelle, children; Santiago Reyes, Jr, Jesus Reyes, Sylvia Delgado, Carmen Ramos, Reina Mendez, eightteen grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, two brothers; Francisco Reyes and Celso Reyes, four sisters; Maria S. Camilla, Estefana Hernandez, Maria Jesus Alaniz, Antonia Chiuhua, and many extended family members and close friends. Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with Father Juan Carlos Sack presiding. Burial will be in Fort Denaud Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 12, 2021 at the LaBelle High School Auditorium. Celebration arrangements are being handled by Akin-Davis Funeral Home - LaBelle.
