Peter Benjamin Bartz Sloan

Peter Benjamin Bartz Sloan, 27, passed away December 4, 2016 in Olympia, Washington. He was born April 4, 1989 to Joseph and Susan Sloan in Kirkland, Washington. Peter attended Olympia High School (2003-2006) and graduated from Tumwater High School/New Market Skills Center in 2007. He attended Bates Technical College in Tacoma, Washington, earning an Audio Sound Certification (2010), and Associate of Technology degrees in Broadcast Video Production (2011) and Biomedical Service Technical/Electronics (2014). He worked as a table games dealer at Red Wind Casino, and was a member of Steilacoom Lodge No. 2 F&AM of Washington Peter was intelligent with a great sense of humor. He was a multi-talented artist who mixed and created music, developing his own unique sound (aka djscife1); in addition, he played electric and string bass, as well as cello. An avid reader, he loved animals, martial arts, and most recently, body building. He cared for his friends and family deeply, and was always ready for a good hug, laugh, or an intense conversation. He is survived by his parents, Joseph and Susan Sloan of Olympia; sister, Rachel Sloan of Tacoma; nephews, DJ and Charlie; many cousins, aunts and uncles.
