David LeRoy Taney

David LeRoy Taney passed away on September 18, 2017 in Lacey, Washington, at the age of 76. David was born to Leonard LeRoy and Lois Margaret Taney in Syracuse, Nebraska, on June 16, 1941. David lived in Nebraska until 1983, graduating from Benson High School, and then later attending the University Nebraska Omaha. On August 13, 1961, David married Victoria Ruth Haughey in Omaha. Victoria passed away March 6, 2015. In 1983, David moved to Kent, Washington and, in 1998, from Kent to Sequim, Washington. David worked in the automotive industry for all of his professional life. He worked with Omaha Volkswagen from 1962 to 1970, Sayers Volkswagen-Mazda from 1970 to 1977, Mazda Motors from 1977 to 1994, and finally for Dunmire Oldsmobile-Mazda from 1994 to 1998. David is survived by his two sons, Brian D. Taney of Stanwood, Washington, and Scott A. “Zeke” Taney of Seattle, Washington; his daughter, Ellen M. Bigelow of Olympia, Washington; his sister, Barbara J. (Taney) Shane of Edmond, Oklahoma; and his four grandchildren.
