Kathleen Lehmann Kinch

Kathleen Lehmann Kinch passed away peacefully on May 1, 2014 from complications due to Alzheimers disease. Kathy was born in Portland, Oregon to Ernest and Evalyn Lehmann on December 20, 1937. She is survived by her daughters Karen Kinch (Michael Woody), Barbara Counts (Bob); grandsons Matthew and Jared Counts; brothers Robert Lehmann (Jackie), Richard Lehmann (Sally); and uncle Richard Eisenbrey (Betty) as well as many other extended family and dear friends. Kathy grew up in the Seattle area where she graduated from Lincoln High School, attended the University of Puget Sound, and completed a degree in Business Administration in 1985 at City University. She worked many years in the Renton School District and finished her career as the Business Manager at Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) until her retirement in 2005. She was involved in the Methodist Church her entire life. For the past 30 years, Kathy was an active member of St. Peters UMC in Bellevue where she served regularly and especially enjoyed participating in the vocal and hand bell choirs. Kathy was an avid traveler and was able to go on many wonderful trips all over the world including over 15 cruises, trips to England, France, the Holy Land, Egypt, Russia, Europe, and numerous places in North America as well as many long weekend adventures with family and friends in Western Washington. She reveled in her role as a grandmother to Matt and Jared and learned a lot of fun things about little boys after having raised two daughters. We miss her greatly but are blessed by memories of happy times shared with family and faithful friends and find hope in knowing she is at peace after so many years of illness. A Celebration of Kathys life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 17th at St. Peters United Methodist Church, 17222 NE 8th Street, Bellevue, WA 98008. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathys name to St. Peters UMC music program would be greatly appreciated.
