Harold Frederick Briggs
January 8th, 1943 - November 10th, 2016
Harold Frederick Briggs Sr. passed away on November 10, 2016, in Shelton, WA, at the age of 73. He was born January 8, 1943 to Nellie May and Charles Harold Briggs at Madigan Hospital in Tacoma, WA. He grew up in Littlerock, WA, and after graduation joined the military. He served in the U.S. Army and spent time in Egypt and Africa; he received an honorable discharge from Fort Lewis. He then was employed by Simpson Timber Company in Shelton, where he was a woodworker for 38 years until he retired. Harold raised 13 children and had over 50 grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Catherine Briggs, and his second wife, Mary Briggs. He loved the great outdoors, hunting in his younger years and later fishing with his wife, Mary. He loved the local rivers and lakes, fishing for trout and salmon; he did some charter fishing too! He always had plenty of fish to go around. Harold now has been set free. He will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends and will never be forgotten! Please leave memories of Harold or condolences for his family in the Guestbook below.
