Betty White
July 13th, 1924 - January 15th, 2017
Betty was born on July 13, 1924, the daughter of Jacob and Maggie Gaub of Wing, North Dakota. She grew up in rural Robinson, North Dakota, and attended country school and later went on to receive her diploma in Practical Nursing. On September 30, 1942, she married Bernard Laber, and moved to Chicago, Illinois, where Bernard was stationed in the U.S. Army. Here they started their family with Bernice and Terry. After the service, they moved back to North Dakota and later South Dakota, where along came Barry and Jolene. After some years, they moved to Washington State where Betty has resided since 1963. Betty worked at St. Peter Hospital, Tyee Motor Inn, and as a nanny to many families. She was a member of St. Michael Parish. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, word search puzzles, dancing, socializing, and walking in the fresh air. Betty was a resident of Sequoia Assisted Living Retirement Community. Betty passed away January 15, 2017 in Olympia, Washington. She is survived by her son, Terry (Dolores) Laber; daughter, Jolene Russell (Jeff Stillman); daughter-in-law, Emma Laber; grandchildren, Erika (Barry) Strong, Eric (Tanya) Laber, and Tiffany Dennis-Centeno; great grandchildren, Jeramey (Teresa) Probert, Eric Laber Jr., Sidney Laber, Allison Centeno; great-great grandchild, Lucas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
