Martin Stute

On the morning of October 10th 2016, Martin passed away surrounded by family. He was an amazing family man who had a smile for everybody he met. He was well loved and will be sorely missed. Martin was born in Vancouver, B.C. Canada on October 12th 1961. He was the third child of Karl and Gertrud Stute. Within months of birth, Martin and his family moved to Auburn, Washington and spent his entire childhood there. He attended Auburn High School (class of 1980). During the years of 1983 1986 Martin served in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. America and was discharged with honors. He traveled all over the world; one of his favorite places being Morocco. After coming back home from the Navy, Martin met his future wife Suzanne, through mutual friends. They welcomed their first child Victoria, in April 1989 and their second child Veronica, in June 1990. Martin and Suzanne were married on February 26th, 1991. A few years later they welcomed 2 more children; Derek in May 2001 and Jared in January 2003. Martin was employed through Albertsons most of his life, up until becoming employed at Franks Quality Produce in Pike Place Market, Seattle, WA. He was a hard worker and role model to anyone he worked with. Martin was an avid sports enthusiast and could always be found watching his favorite teams play on his day off. He loved to host Super bowl parties, especially if the Denver Broncos were part of it. He would get up in the early morning not just out of habit but to watch his favorite German soccer team play. He loved to go to Seahawks games with his children and friends, as well as Mariners games with his brothers, mother and children. Martin was a wonderful cook and enjoyed experimenting with new cooking methods, usually with excellent results. He loved spending time with family and friends and they with him. He is survived by his wife Suzanne, daughters Victoria and Veronica, sons Derek and Jared. Grandchildren James, Gabrielle and Emery. Mother Gertrud, brothers Ryan, Andre and Rob, as well as many extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Karl. A Memorial Service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Auburn, Washington on Saturday, October 29th 2016 at 12 pm.
