August 22nd, 1938 - January 22nd, 2014
Karren A. Olson Karren A Olson passed away on Jan. 22, 2014, after a long and courageous fight against breast cancer. She was born Aug. 22, 1938 in Pocatello, Idaho, the oldest daughter of John J. and Clea Merrill Ashton. She was raised in Smithfield Utah. She married Jerry D Olson on Sept. g, 1956. They moved to Salt Lake City Utah and had 4 children. In 1974 they moved to Renton WA. Where they continued to raise their children and she worked as a retail sales clerk for J.C. Pennys. In 1988 Jerry & Karren moved to Spokane, Wa. She worked as a bowling league coordinator and coach. In 2006 they retired and moved back to Utah. IN 2013 they returned to Washington to be with their children. She loved being a member of the LDS Church, sewing, arts, and crafts, quilting, gardening, bowling, dancing and all her many friends. Karren was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, and loving mother. She was preceded in death by her father John Ashton, her brother, Stephen Aston, her sister Gloria Parrish, and her son Randy Olson. She is survived by her mother Clea Coburn, sister G. dallis (dwain) Brown, husband Jerry, daughter Jerryka Dixie Olson, Ray Olson, Rodney Olson, 9 grandchildren, 1 step great granddaughter, 2 great grandsons, nieces, nephews, their families and 3 God daughters. Services to be held at Cherokee Bay Park community Center 21700 SE 265 Way,Maple Valley WA 98038 at 3 pm Feb. 1, 2014.
