Carl Burnett Light

Carl Burnett Light, was born in Beaumont, TX March 14, 1932, and passed Oct 30, 2013, one day before his beloved wife, Shirley. Shirley Louise Light, was born March 22, 1933 in Walla Walla, WA, and passed Oct 31, 2013. Carl fought a short battle with cancer, while Shirley's battle with cancer started 16 years ago. Carl and Shirley lived most their lives in Destin, FL and Thompson Falls, MT. Carl retired from the US Air Force as a commissioned officer, and Shirley was a real estate broker into her 70's. Carl and Shirley are survived by daughters; Carla Hudson, Sandra Greenheck and husband Bill, Debra Daniels and husband Craig, sons; Randall Wells and wife Julie, and Grady Wells and wife Terry; 15 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Carl and Shirley were preceded in death by daughter Rhonda Waters. Carl will be remembered for his kind and gentle manner, while Shirley will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, and generous nature. Carl and Shirley were very involved with the Elks Lodge in Thompson Falls, MT, and Shirley was the first elected female, Exalted Ruler, at the Lodge. Carl and Shirley will be greatly missed by all their family, and many friends. There will be a celebration of life at the Elks Lodge in Thompson Falls, MT, March.
