February 23rd, 1952 - August 11th, 2011
GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN Allen age 59 of Ollala, Washington died August 11th. Arrangements in Michigan are pending. Allen was born Feb. 23, 1952 in Lansing, MI to Keith and Ilah. After graduation from high school Allen proudly served in the U.S. ARMY from November 26, 1971 to March 15, 1973; where he earned the National Defense Service Medal and achieved the Expert Marksmanship Medal with his rifle as part of the 1st AIT, BDE in Fort Bliss, Tx as a Vulcan/Chappral Crewman. He lived in Texas, married and was the proud father of Denise and Allen Jr. He worked several years in the oil fields in various parts of the country. He then moved to Michigan with his two children in 1983. Met and married Laura(Stephenson)1992. Worked for Holiday Sand and Gravel until 1994. He very proudly volunteered and worked at the Bear Lake Fire Dept. 1993-1994, until he injured his back and was no longer able to work. He then enjoyed wood working from home when he could. He did a great job in what ever he made. His hobbies included reading along with fishing and hunting. Allen is survived by his wife Laura of 19 years, his children Joseph(Carol) St. John of Michigan, Scott Stephenson(Pam) of Michigan, Denise of Virginia (active Army), Allen Jr.(Annie) of Ind. His siblings Ben(Deb) Frederic, Bonnie(Pat) Montana, Linda(Dan) He is also survived by his grandchildren, Mitchell, Nick, Zack St. John, Chase Labo, and Alexander Stephenson. And baby girl Labo due in Dec. Many nieces and nephews. Al was always young at heart, every one loved DAD, UNCLE, PAPA, and HUSBAND. This last year he especially enjoyed a computer game (Sea Fight) where he made many great friends. Rest now my love!!!!
