Roy Burton Goins

Our beloved son, brother, dad, uncle and friend, Roy Burton Goins, a lifelong resident of Centralia, Washington, passed away on May 2, 2020, at the age of 45. He was born January 13, 1975, to Ray and Marie Goins. Roy is survived by both of his parents; his three siblings, Renee (Don) Barnes of Rainier, Washington, Aimee Goins of Tumwater, Washington, and Amber (Greg) Towne, of Centralia; four sons, Caleb Goins, Zane Goins, Jaden Goins, and Johnathon Brown; daughter, Sidney Goins; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Roy was preceded in death by his paternal great grandparents, Sam and Rachel Goins; paternal grandparents, Roy and Maxine Goins; and maternal grandparents, William and Iva Thorson. Roy was a graduate of Pierce County College with several degrees in construction and building maintenance. He was a very likable person who had a lot of friends; if you were his friend, you were his friend for life. Among Roy’s favorite things to do were to drive fast, listen to music, build and work on chopper bikes, and cooking. If you would like to say a final farewell to Roy, a celebration of his life will be held Saturday, June 27, 2020, from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m. at 2009 Taylor Ave., Centralia, WA 98531.
