Todd Vance Haga
July 2nd, 1948 - January 31st, 2015
Todd V. Haga 2 July 1948 - 31 Jan 2015 Born in Long Beach, California to Douglas and Betty Ann (Darting) Haga. He went to school both in California and Oregon and graduated from Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, Ca. He joined the US Army and was a decorated Vietnam Veteran. Todd and his first wife, Barbara J. Holcomb, had a son, Benjamin Gavin Haga. In 1993, he married Barbara J.(Harrell)Green. Always with a sense of humor, Todd loved the irony that both wives were Barbara J H.... and kept the same initials after marriage. While living in Neskowin, Oregon, Todd was a fire chief and helped build the Neskowin Valley school where he and his wife also taught. He worked in various construction projects in his career from basic manual labor to project management mainly in Oregon and Washington. He retired in 2014 as Vice President of Stan Palmer Construction company in Port Orchard. Todd loved his family and taking them hiking, camping, fishing, and traveling to Mexico and Hawaii, music, and fast cars. He was a phenomenal cook, and his sons followed in his footsteps. He is survived by: his wife, Barbara Haga, and son, Ben Haga of Portland, Oregon; and stepsons; Joshua Green and Joseph/Lara Green all of Seattle; stepdaughter, Janelle/Chris Van Dyk of Escalon, California; and his brothers, Doug, Moe, Brad, Ralph, and Andy. No funeral services per Todd's request. A celebration of Todd's life will be held at a future date. Donations may be made to Neskowin Valley School in Neskowin, neskowinvalleyschool.com or a charity of your choice.
