Wally passed away peacefully on Saturday January 18th surrounded by his immediate family. He was born on November 25th 1924 in Dawson, MN to mother Hannah and his father Oscar. Growing up on a farm with a large family, he was preceded in death by his nine brothers and sisters. He joined the army at a young age and continued a career in the military serving his country proudly in WWII, Korea and the Vietnam War. He met his late wife Gabrielle while stationed in Europe they had four children. After retiring from the army as a Sergeant first class in 1967 Wally moved his family to the Tacoma area and worked for the city of Tacoma and later for the State of Washington.
