Arnolfo Almada SantaCruz was born on May 2nd, 1932 in Tucson, Arizona. He passed away on October 12th, 2013 at home with his family at his side. Arnie (Sonny) is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beth, his children Lisa (Charles), Lori (Jim), Vince (Tracy) and his precious grandchildren, Christina (Bill), Chelsey (Ram), Natalie, Lillie, Brandie, Jessie, Alex, Nick, Joe, Christian, great grand daughter Isabella, sublings Henry, Ray, Robert, Jessie, Gloria,, and Elma. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Ramon and Julia SantaCruz, brother Ernest, sisters Francis and Lily, and grand daughters Aubrey and Lily. He served in the United States Army Korea. He worked for PayLess Drug for over 30 years. He was very involved at Holy Rosary School for many years. Arnie (Sonny) was always active, so at 70 he opened a bike shop, worked, repaired and gave many away. The best of times were with family and friends, barbeques, Christmas, dinners, and just to be together. Bike rides with Floyd and skipping with John. The memories will be endless. He was diagnosed with cancer on May 21st. He gave it his best shot but he decided where he was going was more peaceful. Arnie (Sonny) was the most wonderful husband, father, Papa, brother, uncle and friend. Thank you God for letting him be ours. Vaya con dios. Donations may be made to St. Placid Priory, 500 College Street N.E. Lacy, Washington 98516. Service on October 26th, 11:00 am at Our Lady Queen of Heaven. 14601 A Street South, Spanaway Washington. Reception following at the church social hall.
