Talietoto Fatu Taufa

Talietoto Fatu Taufa was born in Tau Manu'a, American Samoa on February 02, 1934 and returned home to our Heavenly Father on March 28, 2014. She is survived by her loving and devoted spouse of forty years, Metui S Taufa, sons Junior Taufa married to Luanna Cano-Taufa, Tunoa Fano; daughters Esther Malupo, Uinise married to Armando Torres, Esther married to Simi Strickland, (15) grandchildren Noah Jr. (Boogie), Loana, Jadynn, Uinise (Loca), Sabrina, Talie, Gabriel, Metui Jr (Mono), Armando Jr (Coco), Francisco (Pico), Salina, Aaron, Jordan, Justin Strickland married to Carlie Clark-Strickland, Eric and one great granddaughter Olivia. Great Grandma Talie was a retired machinist who adored her family and friends. She was a talented pianist, guitarist and loved to play the organ along with the ukulele. You could always find a new pair of socks, towel or blanket at Grandmas because she practiced preparedness. Our mom, Talie will best remembered as the little lady with a BIG heart; who touched so many lives with hope, love, her vibrant smile, joyful hospitality and home cooked meals. She loved playing cards, was a true morning person and always enjoyed a cold glass of mango otai on the porch with Pops. Mom embraced life with the faith that the worlds a better place when there is love at home. Her favorite words of encouragement, selau pasene (means 100%) is a resounding reminder of how much she believed we were all special in our own way and just as weve known all along of how special of a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend she truly is, You are forever in our hearts, Talie." Memorial service was held on April 05, 2014. Mom was laid to rest in peace during her Interment service at Calvary Cemetery in University Place, WA.
