Louie Thormahlen

Louie Thormahlen, age 101, passed away May 21, 2022, in Chehalis, Washington, his home of 73 years. He was born January 4, 1921, to Frank and Louise Thormahlen in Bridger, Montana. He married Irene Ida Hedberg on May 14, 1946; she passed away on July 19, 2006. Louie worked as a mechanic for St. Helens Tractor, and then opened Louie’s Repair Shop, which sold and repaired tractors and farm implements. He loved traveling, camping, playing cards, visiting and sharing time with family and loved ones, rock hounding, jewelry making, gardening, fishing, and spending time at the beach. Louie is survived by sons, Joe Nyce, Bill Thormahlen and John Thormahlen; daughters, Suzy Fine, Kathy McClain, Judy Cook, and Ruth Quiggle; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Evelyn Faas.
