Margaret C. McCoy of Olalla, died on Oct. 14th 2008 at her home in Olalla, surrounded by her family. She was 54. Margaret was born in Minneapolis, MN on May 19th, 1954. She graduated from High School in the same city in 1972. Margaret married Richard McCoy on June 18, 1977 and moved to Seattle, WA on June 19th 1977. She worked in the banking industry in Seattle until 1979 when she and her husband moved to Olalla, WA. In the 28 years she lived in Olalla she worked at a Gig Harbor bank and then at a clothing store and finally at the Gig Harbor Medical Clinic until Dec. of 2007 when her 11 year battle with breast cancer forced her to quit work. Margaret’s passion in life was being with her family. She loved being together with her husband and three daughters on the many camping trips all over the northwest. She always kept in touch with the people she loved back in Minneapolis, with weekly phone calls and yearly visits to her brothers and parents plus her three high school girl friends, Debbie, Virginia and Elaine. She is survived by husband Richard McCoy; daughters Erin, Annie (and her husband Adam), and Hayley.
