Larry John Petrich, Jr.
April 4th, 1958 - June 12th, 2023
Larry John Petrich, Jr., 65, passed away June 12, 2023, after enduring the effects of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease for many years. He was born April 4, 1958, to Larry and Martha Petrich in Tacoma, Washington. Larry cherished his family and friends above everything, and his best times were spent with those he loved. A free spirit, he was gentle-natured, generous, and easy going. Larry possessed a real genuine soul. Never using a harsh word, he taught us that kindness was the greatest of virtues. He is deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know him. Some of his fondest memories were of his younger years, racing Hobby Stocks at South Sound Speedway. Often when departing, he could be heard saying, “Stand on it.” Larry, nothing can replace a son, big brother, dad, or uncle like you; but now in Heaven, God’s lucky to have you, too. Rest in Peace, “Hummer.” Larry is survived by his parents, Martha Campbell of Chehalis and Larry Petrich (Jane) of Reno, Nevada; brothers, Jerry Petrich (Sandy) of Chehalis and Terry Petrich (Starr) of Centralia, Washington; sister, Cheri Ward (Pat) of Olympia, Washington; son, Jeffrey Petrich (Amy) of Bucoda, Washington, granddaughters, JJ and Coeya, and great-grandson, Bentley; and son, Jason Petrich (Samantha) of Chehalis, granddaughter, Alexis, and grandson, Ryan. He was predeceased by his sister, Kerry Lynn Petrich. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Stan Hedwall Park in Chehalis, Washington. Please leave condolences or share memories and photos on the Tribute Wall to the left.
