Kathy L. Rudig passed away of Alzheimer’s Disease on April 9, 2023, in Lacey, Wash. She was born Nov. 19, 1952, to Clarence and Mariam Ellingson in Edmonds, Wash. Kathy graduated from Meadowdale Senior High School in 1970, and the Seattle Keypunch Academy in 1971. She worked in data processing at Rainier Bank (8/1973-8/1975), was a keypunch operator at Swedish Medical Center (10/1976-2/1978), at Dari Mart in Junction City, Ore. (1/1979-8/1985), and financial counselor at Virginia Mason (1981-2013). She married Clifton M. Rudig on May 19, 1996, in Centralia, Wash. She loved cooking, gardening, her dogs, and going to Mt. Baker and to dinner with friends and family. Kathy is survived by her husband, Clifton Rudig of Winlock, Wash.; sisters, Barbara Van Cislo of Shoreline, Wash. and Karen Harrison of Bellevue, Wash.; and niece, Lauren Van Cislo. She was predeceased by her parents; and grandparents, Charles and Martha Romer of St. Paul, Minn. Services will be held Sunday, July 2, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Olequa Senior Center, 119 SW Kerron, Winlock, WA 98596.
