Elberta Lorene Butler Witherow passed away November 7, 2023, in Olympia, Washington. She was born April 7, 1935, to Arthur and Agnus (Kinbarling) Butler in Wall, South Dakota. She also resided in Sequim, Washington, where she was a member of the Nazarine church. Elberta graduated from Nazarine College in Bethany, Oklahoma. She married Phillip Joseph Maxwell Witherow on June 26, 1989, in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Professionally, she was a kindergarten and first grade teacher. Elberta was kind, sweet, and good. She loved boating, hiking, and most of all being together with Phil. She was predeceased by her husband, Phil (November 24, 2020); parents; brother, Albert Butler; sister, Ruth Butler Rogers; and nephew, Ivan A. Rogers. A graveside service will take place Thursday, November 16, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at Claquato Cemetery, 142 Steams Road, Chehalis, WA 98532.
