He then worked for the U.S. Post Office at Fairchild Air Force base in Spokane, from 1957 to 1964. He then moved his family and transferred to the Olympia, Washington, Post Office until July 1985 when he retired. Then he and Gloria moved to Lincoln City. They lived there for 37years. Lewis enjoyed singing in the church choir as a boy and also at their local senior center choir night in Lincoln City. Together over the years, they like building and remodeling their homes, salmon fishing and camping. Fishing in Alaska was his favorite time as well as traveling abroad to Europe and Holland and throughout the U.S. with his wife, Gloria.
