Colton Isaiah Talley, 45, of Onalaska, Washington, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, when his body failed him after a recent accident. Colton was born the second child to Cliff and Annette Talley on January 6, 1979, in Centralia, Washington. He grew up in Aberdeen, Washington, with his siblings, Chandra, Katrina, Miranda, and Bryceson. Colton graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1997. Days after graduation, he struck out on his own to work for a natural gas pipeline company, where he learned many skills he used throughout his life. He then attended Centralia College and became a talented Diesel Mechanic and fabricator. He lived his entire adult life in Onalaska. Colton prided himself on learning how to do things well. If he didn't know how to do something and wanted to, he would study it relentlessly until he mastered it. Everyone who knew him will remember his sense of humor and unique, maybe slightly embellished, storytelling. His tough exterior demeanor did not always reflect the capacity of his heart and the love within it. He was always willing to help others, sometimes to a fault. He leaves behind the loves of his life, his children, Gunnar, Jaycee, and Kiley. He had unending pride in his children and loved them deeply. Outside of his family, the things that brought him joy were riding and training horses, his dog Jess, his many friendships, hunting, calf roping, the outdoors, and buttermilk biscuits. He thoroughly enjoyed watching Jeopardy with his kids and knowing the answers to topics most others would give little thought to. He had a special relationship with many of his aunts, uncles, and cousins. Colton loved his family and friends; they were so important to his life. Unfortunately, he might not have been able to internalize the love others felt for him fully. He will be missed fiercely by all who knew and loved him. Colt will always be our "Colty Bear" with his mischievous grin, who gave the best hugs and had a laugh as big as his heart. He said recently, "When it's my time, I want you to know I love you and I tried my best." His parents and siblings are grateful for all the love and support shown during this tough time. We wish to move forward with love and peace, and hope the many good memories from throughout his life will contribute to much-needed healing. We know that can happen as we exercise faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and the redeeming power of His Atonement. His Aberdeen family will hold a private memorial gathering at a later date. Please leave condolences or share memories and photos on the Tribute Wall to the left.
