Harry Lee Divelbiss
August 18th, 1932 - June 18th, 2018
Harry Lee Divelbiss, 85, passed away June 18, 2018 in Yelm, Washington, his home of 48 years. He was born August 18, 1932 to Glen and Mildred Divelbiss in Gower, Missouri. Harry married Shila Jones on June 2, 1956 in Sheldon, Vermont. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years and was a Vietnam Veteran. After retirement from the military, he worked in civil service at McChord Air Force Base, Washington. Harry never met a stranger. He loved fishing, watching westerns, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Shila Divelbiss; daughters, Derinda Owen (Fred), and Katrina Stringham; one grandchild and two great grandchildren; brothers, Bill Divelbiss, and Gary Divelbiss (Carol); and sister, Sharon Hamann. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Ervin Divelbiss, and Elton Divelbiss; and sister, Donna Fowler. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Services will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th Street, Kent, WA. A reception will follow at Tahoma Hall, 23806 190th Ave. SE, Suite 103, Kent, WA 98042.
