Joyce L Rosenboom

Joyce L. Rosenboom, 79, of Port Charlotte, Florida formerly of Gilman, Illinois passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Tidewell Hospice House in Port Charlotte. She was a well-known beautician for 38 years in Gilman before she moved to Port Charlotte in 1991. She was also an Assistant Manager at Today's Woman in the Town Center Mall in Port Charlotte before it closed. Joyce is survived by her son, Shane J. Decker and his wife, Jill, of Gilman, IL, and Wrath and Fury, the "Boys", as she liked to call them, all of whom were the love of her life; sister, Donna Kay Sigmon and brother-in-law, Robert; nephews Terry Dixon and his wife, Stacy, and Randy Dixon of Port Charlotte; great-nephews, Joshua and Jacob Dixon; and her best friends and neighbor, Fred and Jill Willet of Port Charlotte. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Dorothy Frerichs and sister Carol Bookout. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
