William Antonio Resto, 39, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Monday, October 7, 2013 at Sarasota Memorial ER & Health Care Center in North Port, Florida. Mr. Resto was born March 18, 1974 in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Benito and Victoria (nee Santiago) Resto and moved to this area 3 years ago from Port Richey, FL. He worked as an artist at a tattoo shop and was of Catholic faith. Mr. Resto is survived by his wife, Tanya L. Resto of Port Charlotte; son, William Antonio Resto II of Port Charlotte; step-sons, Robert Henry and John Henry, both of Punta Gorda; step-daughter, Melanie Henry of Port Charlotte; brothers, Ben Resto and Julio Resto, both of New York, and Juan Guerra of North Port, FL; sisters, Karina Resto of Korea and Sandra Resto of North Carolina; and one grandchild, Eli Antonio Henry. Family will receive friends from 9:30 - 10:30AM on Friday, October 11, 2013 at Paul Schelm Funeral Home, 12687 SW County Road 769 (Kings Highway) in Lake Suzy. Funeral Services will follow at 10:30AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at 2:30PM on Friday, October 11, 2013 at Grace Memorial Gardens in Hudson, FL.
