Phyllis I. Lytle

Phyllis Irene Lytle, 92, of Punta Gorda, Florida died Thursday, September 16, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Lytle was born May 17, 1918 in Northumberland, Pennsylvania to Sylvester James and Esther Irene (nee Brouse) Aurand and moved to this area 35 years ago. She was a first grade teacher at Neil Armstrong Elementary School in Port Charlotte before retiring. Mrs. Lytle was a member of Port Charlotte United Methodist Church in Port Charlotte. Mrs. Lytle is survived by her daughter, Karen Irene Buckingham of Punta Gorda; 3 grandchildren, Alan Mackey, Dawn Van Wagner, and Sean Dugan; and 2 great-grandchildren, Samantha Higinbotham and Shay Barnhard. No services will be held at this time. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte.
