Richard James Vincent, 85, of Bradenton, Florida passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Vincent was born January 28, 1928 in Flint, Michigan to Fred and Doris (nee Brown) Vincent and moved to Florida 27 years ago from California. He was a Master Sergeant in the US Army and was of Protestant faith. Mr. Vincent is survived by his wife, Blanche N. Vincent of Bradenton, FL; son, Leland (Sarah) Vincent of Cheney, WA; step-children, Larry (Gail) Nicol of Englewood, FL, William (Dottie) Nicol of Englewood, FL, Jill N. (Robert) Carl of Parrish, FL, Nora Lorenc of Cherryville, PA, and Kevin J. (Mandy) Nicol of Arcadia, FL; sister, Patricia (Joseph) Hitchcock of Port Charlotte, FL; 2 grandchildren; 23 step-grandchildren; 27 step-great-grandchildren; 2step-great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather on Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 1-3:00PM at 1200 Crestwood Road in Englewood, FL for a celebration of his life.
