Robert W. Rausche

Robert W. Rausche, 77, of Lake Suzy, Florida passed away December 19, 2013 after a long illness. Mr. Rausche was born on July 12, 1936 in Buffalo, New York to William and Henrietta (nee Groh) Rausche and moved to Florida in 2002. He worked as a sales representative for Buffalo Wire Works. Robert was a past commander of AMVETS Post 7 in Akron, NY and was past commander of AMVETS Post 312 in North Port. He was also a member of the Punta Gorda Marine Corps League and a charter member of the men's auxiliary of the VFW Post 5690 in Port Charlotte. Bob was an avid Marine, but unfortunately his illness kept him away from his different Posts, but they were always in his heart. Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Bahl-Rausche; children, Carol (William) Habarth, Sandra (David Wiepert), and Norman (Teri) Rausche; grandchildren, Ashlee (Rob) Wagner, Jayme (Jon) Privitera, Brandon (Ashley) Habarth and Adam and Cheyanne Rausche; step-children, Barbara (Edward) Gruber and Susan (John) Racinowski; step-grandchildren, Kristen (Matthew) Mueller-Brown, Robert A. Racinowski, and Steven and Sarah Bahl; great-grandchildren, Jaiden, Peyton, Fiona, Ryker, and Zachary; and step-great-grandchild, Trenton Brown. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Diane C. Rausche; brothers, William and Richard Rausche; and step-son, David Bahl. A Memorial Service with military honors will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Paul Schelm Funeral Home, 12687 SW County Road 769 (Kings Highway) in Lake Suzy.
