Predeceased by Son Jean Philippe Nault and survived by: Sharon Nault, Wife of his father, (of Alaska), Brothers Don and Ted with wife Cindy Nault (Montana), his Loving wife Martha Webb, Andrina Abada, Mother of his children, Son Norman C. & Trivian and Grandson Christian, (Grapeview, WA) Granddaughter Lynnell, John and Great-granddaughter Jonni (Shelton, WA) Daughter Lisa, Granddaughter Lara & Mike, Great-granddaughter Mila (Renton,WA), Son Jesse, Grandson Alexander, Granddaughter Mikkayla, (Bellevue, WA). Norm has many stepchildren and sons and daughters and families that have brought him into their lives. Norman enjoyed the beauty and activities of the great outdoors, such as camping, fishing and hunting. Like his father he was a people person, very friendly with the ability to like and get along with everyone. Family, friends and community were the center of his thought and action. He proudly served his country in the US Navy 1955-57. Norman’s education lasted throughout his life, with a BA degree from Evergreen State College, Olympia WA and an MA from Antioch University, Seattle WA plus specialized training with attendant certificates and licenses too numerous to mention individually. His work life ranged from Boeing engineer to USPS carrier to operating several businesses. True passion of his work life was serving Tribes and Native American families of tradition. His special interests included helping people achieve their potential, facilitating grants to support that, and even taking people into his home. His many accomplishments include Recognition of the Baha’is of Alaska National Spiritual Assembly for Service to Humanity, and concurrently Humanitarian of the Year by the State of Alaska for regaining Salmon fishing rights for the Kenaitze Indian Tribe and its members on the Kenai River. He used all of this training in the service of the people. A few of the many tribes he worked with include the: Puyallup, Lower Elwha S’Klallam, Makah, Nooksack, Lummi, Quileute, Hoh, Quinault, Skokomish, Squaxin, Nisqually, Shoalwater, and Chehalis. After the Alaska Baha’is gave him and the elders of the tribe an award, he and his late wife Barbara both embraced the Baha’i faith and this became the guiding force in Norman’s walk toward Creator. On the day of his passing, October 22, 2012, his family surrounded him drumming, singing, and reciting prayers. Many of you have had the blessing of knowing Norm as a friend, fellow Bahai, or colleague in the many years of tireless work and service he gave to others. Please say prayers for Norm and his family, friends, and community. Come and celebrate his life at 10:00AM on Wednesday October 24, 2012 at Edwards Memorial Lakewood 11020 South Tacoma Way, Lakewood, WA 98499. Graveside service to follow at 1:00PM at the Tahoma National Cemetery 18600 Southeast 240th Street, Kent, WA 98042 Two of Norm's favorite prayers are: O God! Refresh and gladden my spirit. Purify my heart. Illumine my powers. I lay all my affairs in Thy hand. Thou art my Guide and my Refuge. I will no longer be sorrowful and grieved; I will be a happy and joyful being. O God! I will no longer be full of anxiety, nor will I let trouble harass me. I will not dwell on the unpleasant things of life. O God! Thou art more friend to me than I am to myself. I dedicate myself to Thee, O Lord. 'Abdu'l-Bahá Is there any Remover of difficulties save God? Say: Praised be God! He is God! All are His servants, and all abide by His bidding! The Báb
