Richard D. Goodbread, 80, of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte. Richard was born January 2, 1934 in Tarentum, Pennsylvania to John and Anne (nee McCoy) Goodbread and moved to this area 15 years ago from New Kensington, PA. He worked as a metallurgical engineer for steel fabricators and was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Margaret R. (nee Woods) Goodbread of Punta Gorda; daughters, Stacy Fitzsimmons of Arlington, VA and Karen Goodbread of Del Ray Beach, FL; and grandson, Elijah Goodbread of Meadowview, VA. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Ross G. Walker Funeral Home in New Kensington, PA. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell, PA.
