Betty Marie Muscato

Betty Marie Rawls Muscato, 79, of Punta Gorda, went to be the Lord on Thursday, March 6, 2014 under the care of Fawcett Hospital Port Charlotte, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late George and Meekie (nee: Ballard) Rawls April 16, 1934 in Punta Gorda, Florida. Growing up in Punta Gorda life with nine other siblings she graduated from Charlotte high school. Betty married Carmelo F Muscato who predeceased her. Betty worked side by side with her husband's business, doing the business accounting, and then she was a cook for Charlotte County School System. She loved and was dedicated to her family mostly, but loved life, cooking, and reading romantic novels. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 year, Carmelo; son, Tommy; brother, Norman and Carl Rawls; sisters Melva Jean Dennison, Eveline Lughs, and Edith Rawls; grandson, Christopher MacLeod. She is survived by her loving children, Geraldine (Jim) Meadows, Jenny Austin, Frank (Maria) Muscato; brother, Ernest (Becky) Rawls; sisters, Juanita (James) Jacobs and Rose Hurd; grandchildren, Elliot and James Meadows, Sean MacLeod, Erica Austin, Thomas and Daniel Muscato; great grandchildren, Irelyne, Ellia, Jackson, Madison, Trenton, Latrell, and last but most precious unborn grandson, Krisean. She is loved and will be dearly missed by her loving family, friends, brothers and sisters at Kingdom Hall. Memorial Service with a celebration of Betty's Life will be celebrated Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, her final rest to follow to Royal Palm Cemetery. Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, Cemetery, and Crematory is in charge of her arrangements.
