Maree Frances Semo
October 1st, 1940 - August 13th, 2016
Maree Frances Semo, surrounded by family, died peacefully on August 13, 2016, after a brief struggle with lung and brain cancer. Maree was born October 1, 1940 in Leatherhead, England,the daughter of Michael and Sally (Coyne) Kennedy. Maree immigrated to Canada and then to the United States at the age of 12 with her parents and 3 younger siblings. She loved all animals but had a special affinity for catsboth live and collectible. Maree worked at many restaurants and bars over the years as a cocktail waitress and then a bartender. She most recently poured a mean drink as a long-time lead bartender at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Hall in San Bernardino, CA. Maree is survived by her sister Paula (Tom) Hartley of Mukilteo, WA, former spouse and friend James Semo, Sr., children David (Mikki) Semo of Riverside, CA,Cindy Sandlin of Beaumont, CA, Jim Semo of Portland, OR,Lisa (Christopher) Harris of Sierra Madre, CA, and Trisha (Joseph) Thornton of Lakewood, WA, nephew Jeff Smith of San Bernardino as well as 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Brent Semo and grandson Joel Bertrand. There will be a celebration of her life The Fraternal Order of the Eagles at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 1st, 2016 at 895 E. 9th Street San Bernardino, CA 92410.
