Ardith Lucille Mahon, 80, of Port Charlotte, formerly of Mt Clemens, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 24, 2014. She was born to the late, James C and Carla E (nee: Greene) Lebow on August 1, 1934 at Ferndale, Michigan. Coming from Mount Clemens in 1969 to Port Charlotte, she considered herself "Almost a Floridian" Ardith was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Charlotte, Charlotte County Women's Bowling Association and Hall of Fame, and Lifetime Girl Scout. She is preceded in the death by her daughter, Diane Mahon Smith, four brothers and a sister; She is survived by her beloved husband Ralph; son David Mahon; daughter, Julie DuCasse and her husband Robert; five grandchildren Jason, Justin, Tamara, April, and Zach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's research and/or Tidewell Hospice of Port Charlotte. Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, FL Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Kenneth Barrios officiating. Entombment at Charlotte Memorial Cemetery will be private Arrangements By: Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, Cemetery, and Crematory
