Ola Mae Smith
February 1st, 1932 - June 11th, 2017
In Loving memory of Ola Mae Smith Born on Feb 1, 1932 in Kileen Texas, went to be with the LORD on June 11, 2017. She was preceded in death by all her siblings and her first born son, Alan R. Baydo. She is survived by Deena Baydo Hudspeth, Kim Baydo, Angel Blair, Holly Burson, Don R. Potter Jr., numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Most of her life was spent in the Tacoma area. She enjoyed being a housewife, her hobby was in painting beautiful scenery, especially ocean or country scenery. She had an art gallery called “Misty Mountain Studio.” She loved to travel cross-country with family. When given the opportunity she loved cooking big meals for her family. She often cooked meals and would deliver them to her son’s RV dealership, many times driving long distances up until she could no longer drive. She had a great love for the ocean and it was her favorite getaway any time of the year. Family members would bring her some sand and seashells from the beach and she enjoyed the fragrance. She had a heart of gold and would give a meal to anyone in need. Our mothers’ favorite thing to do was to be with her family more than anything else no matter where we were of what we were doing. She was bold, funny, and adventurous and loved all animals. Her beloved companion dog (Rachel) was always with her everywhere she went. She passed on her love for animals to her children & grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. If she were still here she would say “wow, what a ride”
