Helen Tutor-Dempsey died Sept 29, 2014 in Punta Gorda, Florida, born in Washburn WI at her grandparents home, Bill and Hattie Doucette. Helen was born a premie at 7 months gestation and kept warm in a primitive incubator made by her grandparents who warmed bricks up by the cook stove. She grew up in Washburn WI but loved her summers in Iron River WI where she spent time with her cousins. Married to Jerry Sell and begat four children, Maryellen, Jerry Jr., Debi and Bob. Later, married to Eugene Dempsey. She moved to Punta Gorda to be near her father Robert Roger Tutor until his death in 1992. She loved to sing and play music until her arthritis prevented this but this woman became a master quilter and had given several of us her works of art and possessed a sense of humor that never quit. She will be terribly missed by those close to her. Celebration of life in WI on November 29, to be announced later, and on October 11 in Punta Gorda near the fishing pier that she spent time enjoying during her life.
