Eileen P. Monahan

Tribute Eileen Patrick Monahan, age 85, went to be with Our Lord, on February 4, 2022. Eileen grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. She lived in Vestal, NY, and was married to Donald Monahan (divorced in 1981) and had two children, Terri Monahan-Mitchell (married to Tim Monahan-Mitchell) and Don Monahan (married to Nita Monahan). In 1968, the family moved to Boca Raton. FL., where Eileen lived until 2007 when she moved to Illinois, then Colorado in 2012 with her daughter's family. Eileen is grandmother to Kristal Ready, Nicole Maurer (married to Matt Maurer), Linzy Monahan, Shylee Monahan-Mitchell and Caylee Monahan-Mitchell. She is great-grandmother to Elijah, Blake, Isaac, Luke and Naomi. Eileen was also sister to Robert Patrick, Helen Donahue and is survived by her brother James Patrick and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Eileen worked as a telephone operator, bookstore clerk, in childcare and as a craft store salesperson. She cared for her children as they grew and then her granddaughter, Linzy for many years. Eileen loved to read, listen to music, dance, but mostly spend time with her family. Eileen loved football and cheered on her Pittsburgh Steelers and Florida Gators. The most important part of Eileen's life was her Catholic faith. She watched daily Mass and Rosary and attended on Sundays at St. Francis of Assisi in Longmont. She prayed for her family, her country and the world daily.
