Robert "Bob" Michael Wood

Robert Michael “Bob” Wood was a man of many talents. He was a woodworker, an award-winning driftwood artist, a handyman, outdoor enthusiast, world traveler, and all-around family man. Bob loved to learn new skills and was curious about the natural world around him. He loved to go on adventures to see the world with his wife, Stella, from camping in their Westfalia van, to cruises and backpacking around Europe. He enjoyed being surrounded by a loving family, and was always willing to help in any way he could. Bob was born March 24, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan, and graduated with his BA and MBA from Michigan State, where he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. He was also a CPA. Shortly after graduating, Bob moved to Washington state, where he fell in love with its many outdoor activities and beautiful summers. Bob was an accountant at several firms throughout his career, including Siemen’s and Fluke Manufacturing. Bob passed away March 26, 2021, in Lacey, Washington. He will be greatly missed by family who survive him, including his loving wife, Stella; daughters, Lorie Thomas and Sarah Streck; son, Stephen Wood; stepchildren, Evan and Valerie Davis; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Jane Johnson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Madolyn and Forrest Wood; and identical twin brother, Richard “Dick” Wood. A celebration of life will be held later in the summer.
