Julio Ruiz, 87, died January 3, 2015 in Port Charlotte. He was born in Cuba on May 27, 1927. He is survived by his daughter, Maria Grover (Jerry) of Allenton, MI and his two grandsons, Miles Strobbe and Gordon Grover. Visitation will be held at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indian Spring Cemetery Rd., Punta Gorda on Friday, Jan. 9 at 11:00 AM with services at 12:00 PM. Rev. Donald Buck, First Presbyterian Church of Port Charlotte will officiate. Entombment in Charlotte Memorial's Tranquility Mausoleum will follow. Pay respects at www.charlottememorial.com.
