Lawrence McCabe
October 5th, 1946 - August 18th, 2017
Lawrence “Mac” McCabe, 71, of Braddock, Pennsylvania, beloved husband and best friend of Criselda McCabe for 48 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by the ones he laughed with, lived for, and loved on 8/18/2017 after a long fight with brain cancer. He was predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Louise McCabe and sister Patricia Wagner. Mac was born in Braddock, Pennsylvania where he lived part of his life, his family later moved to Phoenix, Arizona and lived most of his life until he graduated from Phoenix Union High School. He was a retired MSgt with the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War from which he proudly served and received many honors. Mac worked as an aircraft structural maintenance technician in both his military and civilian career with Alaska Airlines. Besides his wife Criselda, Mac is survived by his two children Christy McCabe and Matthew McCabe. Christy’s husband Robert Alsanders Jr. of Spanaway, and Matthew’s wife Zoe McCabe of Yakima; his grandchildren, Clark and Marcus. Mac will forever be remembered by his brother Robert McCabe and loving sister Kathy Wagner; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held honoring Mac on Friday, September 8, 2017, 2:30 p.m. at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St, Kent, WA 98042. The family will receive guests after the service at 5:30 p.m. located at the VFW, 120 2nd St NE, Puyallup, WA 98372.
